This update on the impact of the Coronavirus on semiconductor manufacturing brings Risto Puhakka in to have a conversation with Dan Hutcheson to discuss what he's been hearing in over the last two weeks from VIPs in the semi supply chain. We look at data discrepancies where most people are optimistic about what's happening now but pessimistic about the future, given the uncertainty. We find out how the IC market’s recovery from 2019’s downturn is progressing. There are lots of positives to discuss: Micron announcement that they would not cut CapEx from plan and ASML still seeing strong EUV tool demand – if anything, signs it's accelerating. Logistics is another area discussed as is how forecasting methods are being adapted to deal with the uncertainty challenge of the Coronavirus.
