Suppliers of Critical Subsystems stepped up to deliver 18% growth in 2020 despite the challenging circumstances due to COVID-19. However, individual suppliers experienced a wide range of growth rates: suppliers selling primarily into the sub-fab, experienced mid-single-digit growth rates while others, particularly those selling to dry etch applications, saw their sales double. 2021 has already gotten off to a great start with order visibility for some products extending to August. The expectation is for sales to grow 12% in 2021 and continue growing until a cyclical downturn in 2024.

Sales of Critical Subsystems grew 18% to a value of $14.6B in 2020.
