VLSI Raises the WFE Forecast to +12.4% for 2021 but This Could Easily Be Higher Still.

Some subsystems suppliers are already nearing their capacity limit, so the next 12 months could be a testing time. However, VLSI Research's latest WFE forecast of +12% can be achieved with flat quarterly sales throughout 2021. If this scenario plays out, then the supply chain should be able to deliver. However, some of the OEMs indicate that strong demand from chipmakers can drive growth as high as 20%. If this turns out to be the case, then parts of the supply chain will be hard pressed to keep up. ML: Market Leader
