2019 will be a correction year across the entire electronics supply chain. Up at the top, Electronics sales are on track to decline 3%. Personal Tools are expected to decline 3% with smartphone sales falling the hardest. The IC market is expected to tumble 13%. Memory sales will plunge 30% in 2019 with DRAM taking the biggest hit. The Logic segment will fare better than Memory with sales declining in the low single digits. IC units are expected to decline 6% amid high inventories and sluggish demand. As a result, silicon demand is projected to fall nearly 7%.
