    VLSI's Semiconductor Analytics report

Semiconductor sales turned down in a normal start of a March drop. They remained up y/y. Focusing on the NAND market this week, the 13-week MA - with 16% y/y growth - shows this segment is smoking hot. This is also demonstrated by sales almost flatlining in a season that's typically sinking. Last week, Auto ICs had the highest w/w growth, followed by Analog & Power. DRAM had the lowest growth. The IC weather stayed Hot with 0°F change for the second week.

IC Wafer Fab Production levels continued to rise for the 8th week in a row at well above 1Q20 peak levels, with production levels 50% above 2020's lows in 300mm equivalents-per-week.

The Supply/Demand status held tight for the week in Shortage conditions. OSAT and Foundry returned to Shortage levels. Analog & Power was slightly tighter, NAND was level, while DRAM and IDM edged down. The 1Q NowCast is Tight.
