Semiconductor sales at a > 20% Y/Y gain

    Semiconductor sales continued to set seasonal records last week at a >20% Y/Y gain, with the 4Q20 Nowcast soaring to +14%, as the IC weather jumped 2°, warming to 88° F. IC Highlights: Focusing on the total IC picture this week, 13-week MAs show a fairly steady rise with no significant perturbation from COVID. Auto and Analog & Power Y/Y growth was higher last week. Logic was stable. DRAM and NAND were lower, though NAND is still set to have the best quarter.

    Last week's Semiconductor Supply/Demand status loosened again, with OSAT dropping back to tight. There was slight weakness in Foundry. NAND held steady for the 3rd week in a row, as did IDM. DRAM and Analog & Power made gains.

    Electronics Price Trend is flattening with weakness in Notebooks and Consumer Electronics.

    4Q20 Semiconductor Sales Nowcast jumped to 12%.
