Mixed fortunes for suppliers of test and burn-in sockets for semiconductor test in 2019: sales of test sockets were up, while burn-in socket sales were down

Sales of test and burn-in sockets for semiconductor test were up 3% in 2019 despite a challenging year for the semiconductor industry. While the slightly positive top line growth rate implies stability, the reality was a choppy market where sales of test sockets were up and burn-in sockets down; sales for non-memory applications were up and memory applications down, and the growth rates of last year’s top ten vendors ranged between +93% and -22%.
