    Order activity is still climbing
    • Order activity for semiconductor equipment resumed its upward trend, jumping nearly a point to a warm 76 degrees
    • All segments moved higher with SOC computing and Subcon/Adv. Packaging recording the biggest weekly gains
    • Despite a global recession and supply chain issues, the IC industry had another strong showing in Q2. IC sales are now expected to record a low single-digit increase sequentially in Q2, which is higher than our forecast of -0.4% decline
    • The momentum in Q3 appears to also be better than expected
      • The strength in ICs bodes well for the equipment market
    • The June data from the Taiwanese manufactures continued to show a robust environment across the IC food chain
    • TSMC had a monster June with sales hitting an all-time high after rocketing 40% on yearly basis
    • VLSI's Chip Price Performance Index fell again, but at a slower rate
      • DRAM fell
      • NAND declined
      • MPUs flat
