    Semiconductor Equipment Weather Report: June 14, 2021

    It's still red hot out there
    • Order activity for semiconductor equipment stayed red hot, hovering at 107 degrees
    • SoC Computing and SoC Mobile remain the hottest sectors followed by Adv. Packaging/Subcon
    • Memory activity is firmly in triple-digit-territory but it's trailing the other segments with NAND activity being somewhat restrained
    • The overall visibility for equipment suppliers has stretched into 2022
    • The May data from the Taiwanese manufacturers was strong and in line with our expectations
      • TSMC's yearly sales growth in May accelerated to 20%, compared to 16% in April and 14% in May
      • Nanya had a strong May with DRAM sales soaring 37% from a year
      • MediaTek continued to shatter new records with sales rocketing 90%
    • VLSI's Chip Price Performance edged higher
      • DRAM jumped
      • NAND fell
      • MPUs increased
    • Semiconductor inventories are moving higher; inventory to billings ratio remains in healthy territory
