Visibility remains limited as clouds hang in the horizon
    • Order activity for semiconductor equipment continued to trend lower, slipping below the 80-degree mark
    • All segments turned lower, led by Adv. Packaging & Subcon and Memory
    • Despite the pullback, it's still pretty warm out there especially for WFE manufacturers, who should see their sales grow by double digits this year
    • With 2020 pretty much in the bag, the focus for both chipmakers and equipment suppliers has shifted to 2021
    • Clearly, there is a lot of uncertainty and worries about next year as there are many out-of-sample events that cloud visibility
    • VLSI's Chip Price Performance Index ended the week flat
      • DRAM declined
      • NAND declined
      • MPUs rose
    • Equipment sales are on track to hit an all time high in 2020
