    • Order activity for semiconductor equipment jumped by a point driven by gains in Memory and DAO
    • Memory activity has been heating up the last two weeks on the back of DRAM
    • Even though DRAM manufacturers expect soft market conditions in Q4, they are optimistic about the year ahead
    • Spending recovery in DRAM appears to have started a couple of quarters sooner than expected
    • DAO has finally bounced back into growth territory due to a significant improvement in Auto and Industrial markets
    • The heated tech Cold War between the U.S. and China will likely subside next year as the attention of the upcoming administration in the U.S. turns to the containment of COVID-19
    • VLSI's Chip Price Performance Index was flat
      • DRAM rose
      • NAND dropped
      • MPUs increased
